The Cape Town Convention Bureau is a strategic business unit of Cape Town Routes Unlimited, the official tourism destination marketing organisation for Cape Town and the Western Cape.

The bureau promotes Cape Town and the Western Cape as a preferred and premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, events, exhibitions and trade fairs.

Destination expertise
The bureau provides destination expertise and support to associations, corporates, professional conference organisers, event organisers and destination management companies. Since its inception in 1999, the Bureau has achieved great success, with numerous successful conferences having been hosted in the city since then.

Conferences & Exhibitions
Among the successful and varied conferences, exhibitions and congresses held in Cape Town have been the 2nd World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition, the Harvard Business School Global Alumni Conference, the World Energy Council Executive Assembly, the WWF International Congress and the International Scientific Meeting of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Eight major world conferences were secured for the period 2011 to 2014, with the Cape Town and Western Cape Convention Bureau instrumental in securing all of them.

Cape Town owes its reputation and excellent track record to superb locations, facilities and world-class services, as well as to its highly organised and sophisticated infrastructure.

CTICC, already an unqualified success, has doubled in size iahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ and now offers a total of 20 600m2 exhibition space.
